Roberto Velasco is a retired professor of Applied Economics at the University of the Basque Country (EHU/UPV). Roberto Velasco es catedrático jubilado de Economía Aplicada en la Universidad del País Vasco (EHU/UPV). A lo largo de su carrera ha sido presidente de la Asociación Española de Ciencia Regional y consultor económico para instituciones de prestigio como el Banco Interamericano de Desarrollo (BID), la Comisión Europea y la OCDE. Además de su trayectoria académica, ha ocupado cargos de dirección en entidades clave para la reconversión industrial del País Vasco, como SPRI, la Feria Internacional de Bilbao o el Círculo de Empresarios Vascos.
